Come show your support and let’s invite local heroes to honor them for their continued commitment to support our community!\n\nI will also be featuring Justin Arndt\, an old friend from my policing days. He recently launched a new company that does just that\, honors local heroes! Check out more about him below:\n\nJustin Arndt’s first career was with the Powder Springs Police Department from 2012 to 2018.\n\nDuring his time at Powder Springs he worked the road as a patrol officer. Justin’s passion for community engagement led him to a promotion as the Community Outreach Officer and Public Information Officer.\n\nJustin left Powder Springs PD to work for the City of Kennesaw as a police officer. Within a few months he was involved in an auto accident and medically resigned due to a back injury.\n\nHe is now a business owner and runs Our Local Heroes on a part time basis.\n\nOur Local Heroes provides free portrait photos for ALL U.S. Military Veterans and this is enabled due to his partnership with the American Legion Post 29 in Marietta\, GA. Justin also offers this service for police departments\, fire departments\, dispatch centers\, EMS organizations and Sheriff Offices.

DESCRIPTION:Upon graduating high school Roger spent over ten years in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer with\ncombat deployments to Iraq (Al Anbar) and Afghanistan (Wardak). \nIn eastern Afghanistan in 08-09 Roger served as the company commander for Dog Company of the famed\n“Band of Brothers” 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Roger was forced out of the Army in 2009 in lieu\nof a general court-martial after discovering an insider threat of no less than twelve spies on his forward\noperating base and taking matters into his own hands to root them out. \nRoger’s command knew of the spies for several weeks prior to his discovery\, but failed to notify him\ndespite Dog Company having taken over two dozen casualties through that point in time. \nOne of the spies found on Dog Company’s FOB was Captain Hill’s own government provided interpreter. \nIn 2018\, after a year long battle with the Pentagon to publish\, Roger and his coauthor New York Times\nBestselling Author Lynn Vincent published Dog Company\, A True Story of American Soldiers Abandoned\nBy Their High Command. \nDog Company is endorsed by former Delta Force Commander and Deputy Under-secretary of Defense for\nIntelligence Lieutenant General Ret. William G. Boykin and the foreword is by Sean Hannity. \nRoger’s story has been featured on dozens of news and radio programs and is currently under\nconsideration for adaptation to film. \nRoger currently works in the defense sector as a project engineer and has held various engineering\,\noperations\, and consulting roles for the likes of Georgia Tech Research Institute\, Utility Associates Inc.\,\nMotorola Solutions Inc.\, and Lockheed Martin Corp. \nRoger is both a graduate of the United Military Academy and the Georgia Institute of Technology and\nresides in northern Atlanta.
