“Entrepreneurial Leap is designed to help you first confirm whether you have what it takes to become an entrepreneur, there are six essential traits, show you a glimpse of the life, and then show you a path to survive the startup and build an amazing company.” – Gino Wickman
In today’s episode, Gino Wickman unfolds his mission to help entrepreneurs-in-the-making take the leap into their entrepreneurial journey. He provides a path to success by sharing his insights on the importance of having a vision, accepting feedback, and staying true to your core. Listen in and get expert advice on overcoming your startup fears!
An entrepreneur since the age of 21, Gino has had an obsession for learning what makes businesses and entrepreneurs thrive. At 25 he took over the family business, which was deeply in debt and in need of help. After turning the company around and running it for seven years, he and his partners successfully sold the company.
Gino then set out to help entrepreneurs and leaders get what they want from their businesses. Based on his years of real-world experience, he created the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), a practical method for helping companies achieve greatness. He has personally delivered more than 1,900 full-day sessions for more than 135 companies, helping them implement EOS. He is also the author of the award-winning, best-selling book Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business, which has sold over 1 million copies, as well as five other books in the Traction Library that have sold almost 2 million copies.
Gino is the founder of EOS Worldwide, an organization that helps tens of thousands of businesses implement EOS with the aid of an international team of over 450 professional and certified EOS Implementers and online support. There are over 130,000 companies using the EOS tools worldwide.

Key Quotes:
“There’s really no such thing as get rich quick, but there is get rich, slow.” – Gino Wickman
“I’m going out to the front end of the journey to help my 18-year-old self because at 18, I was a mislabeled derelict. I was lost, confused, insecure. And so whoever you are out there, if you’re an entrepreneur in the making, if you have those genetics, and you’re wanting to take a leap, you’re dealing with some emotional issues. And that’s normal as I did when I was 18.” – Gino Wickman
“You’ve got to listen to your customers, but you’re going to hear criticism and feedback. You’re going to have friends and family that care about you, and their intentions are good, but they’re terrified for you. And their feedback is almost always terrible with all due love and respect. And so you’re just going to hear a lot of stuff that you’ve got to become masterful at gleaning what is right for you.” – Gino Wickman

Key Quote:
“Let your freak flag fly. And so I am fanatical about helping the world be themselves and you can’t be yourself until you know thyself. And so it’s a travesty how many of us don’t truly, fully be ourselves for whatever reason. And I would urge you to embark on the journey to really get to know yourself, understand yourself, learn your strengths and weaknesses, laugh at your weaknesses, and celebrate those. But absolutely capitalize on your strengths and don’t apologize for it. And life is just a hell of a lot better when you’re being 100% you.” – Gino Wickman
